STOP! The Dangers of Forwarding Emails


What happened to one of our clients, which happened to be a financial institution, is they got a malware in or, or a virus, and what ended up happening in this one instant. They were unsure of the email that came in. So rather than them just deleting it, ignoring it, they ended up forwarding it to a couple other people to ask, do you think that this is a good email or s be or something I should worry about?

But what ended up happening was I, because the other person saw the email come from within the organization, it now became a trusted email. Not only do we do the training, we say pay attention. Do not forward anything. If you have any, any worry or concern, have somebody remote in and look at it. Don’t forward it because it now becomes a trusted email.

So remember, your employees are your first line of defense.
