Brian Simons

Brian Simons brings a unique blend of project experience, technical knowledge, and steady problem-solving to his role at Spider Networks. A South Florida native and graduate of South Plantation High School, he earned his degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida in 1999. He began his career as a field engineer in Bermuda before continuing in construction management in the United States, building a strong foundation in organization, coordination, and practical problem-solving that still shapes the way he approaches IT today.

After the construction downturn, Brian made the decision to retrain in IT and earned a degree in Network Systems Administration, building the technical foundation that launched his second career. That transition reflects a great deal of what defines him professionally: adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning in order to build something new. It laid the groundwork for the long-term IT career he has built ever since.

Brian has been with Spider Networks since 2013, where he serves as a Network Administrator supporting clients with everything from day-to-day help desk needs to network infrastructure, backups, disaster recovery, documentation, and system maintenance. He works across a wide range of client environments, helping businesses stay connected, protected, and productive. His experience includes managing LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, wireless systems, network documentation, patching, and backup integrity, along with resolving technical issues across all support tiers.

What makes Brian’s background especially valuable is the perspective he brings from having built a career in two very different industries. He understands the importance of reliability, organization, and follow-through, and he brings a calm, practical mindset to every challenge. At Spider Networks, he is a dependable resource for clients and a valued part of the team.

“What I enjoy most about IT is that there is always something new to learn and a new problem to solve. Helping people get back up and running, and knowing you made their day a little easier, is what makes the work rewarding.”
